About

Who We Are

In the 1960s-70s, there were no Turkish organisations supporting the Turkish and Turkish Cypriots in London with their immigration, housing, health, and welfare issues upon their arrival in the UK. People had been getting help from previously arrived immigrants, friends, and family members.  Several Turkish Cypriots came together to address this gap and established Turkish Cypriot Cultural Association (TCCA) in 1977 as a registered charity (Charity Number: 285799) to provide support for the Turkish speaking community. Since then, it has been providing vital services, first at 60 Albion Road N16 until 1986 and at 14a Graham Road, London E8 since 1986 when it was bought for our charity through the Community Centre Project grant received from Central London Government.

“ Turkish Cypriot Cultural Association (TCCA) has been supporting the welfare and well-being of Turkish community in London since 1977. In times of need, TCCA is here for you and with you.”

Our Aim

TCCA’s overall aim is to improve the quality of life of the Turkish Cypriot and Turkish speaking community in London Borough of Hackney and surrounding boroughs by helping to advance education, welfare, relief of poverty, protection of health, preventing sickness and distress, and to encourage integration through socializing and organising cultural events.

Who We Work With

Working in close collaboration with Hackney Council, City and Hackney Public Health, Clinical Commissioning Group, Homerton Hospital, and any other relevant health service providers, our centre has been providing vital services for 45 years to Turkish Cypriots and the Turkish speaking community from Turkey and other European countries living in London.
