16.9.2021 – 13.8.2022

Gardening project is delivered to create a space for gardening with the main aim being socializing. Participants met once a week in the garden of British Red Cross or TCCA’s center; it is delivered in collaboration with British Red Cross over a year. Participants were provided with a gardening space to meet with people to socialize and supported to learn about growing vegetables, herbal plants and flowers in a friendly local garden. Gardening and socializing impacted positively in improving mental health, reducing isolation of participants.

People joined in to sessions at any time during the life of the project.
29 gardening sessions provide from 3hrs pw (11.30 – 2.30) on scheduled dates. Chard, mixed salads, tomatoes, broad beans and courgettis developed well and products were picked and made food with them.
