Withing the Computing for All project every course period had 2 lessons of Basic Digital Photography Course: We aimed at teaching Digital photography course so learners can learn or improve their skills in digital photography. The lessons include taking photos, uploading to any computer and sharing photos with your relatives, friends by Facebook and sending it via e- mails.
Learners were taught about cameras in general, parts of cameras, techniques of taking photos; fundamentals of taking good photographs, surrounding, light, framing objects in the view of camera, backgrounds, basic editing, transferring pictures to computers, saving and sending photos by e-mail and uploading to Facebook. We used 3 digital cameras during the course and some people brought their own cameras.
Learners gained necessary communication skills and increased confidence in using modern technology; modern social networking options. They connected with their family and friends in the UK and abroad and reduced generation gap as well as reducing isolation and contributing towards independent living. Learners enjoyed having free access to use internet provision as so many people didn’t have internet in their houses.
