CAKE DECORATING Advanced level: Making animal figurines using marzipan
This course was designed to further our learners’ skill to the advance level. The course was delivered by an experienced Cake baker, trainer of Brighton, Ms Pat Ashby.
Learners were taught using marzipan dough to make animal figurines, firstly by colouring marzipan dough, making balls, rolling and shaping parts of figurines such as cat, dog, mouse pig, bear, frog, duck and also a mermaid by shaping, drying, and combining them all to form these figurines.
Mrs. Pat Ashby is the founder of Sussex and Southdown British Sugar craft Association and has 40 years of experience in this field. We were thrilled to have such a valuable person visited our centre by travelling with her husband all the way from Brighton and delivered the lesson while the husband sat and waited for her. She had shared her experiences with our learners. Our learners were so happy and exited to have her as a trainer in our centre.
